What is E Ink or bistable display technology?+
Bistable displays hold an image using pigment particles that physically stay in place without continuous power, drawing energy only when the image actually changes. That's what makes them readable in direct sunlight and able to hold content for long stretches on battery or solar power alone. The color panel EverInq currently uses is E Ink's Spectra™ 6.

Why not just use an LED sign or digital screen outdoors?+
LED and LCD displays compete with direct sunlight, draw continuous power, and usually need a hardwired feed — all of which limit where they can go. E Ink-based signage is reflective like paper, stays legible in full sun, and only draws power on a content change.

Does a unit need to be plugged in?+
The platform is designed to run from a hot-swappable EverInq Core™ energy-logic module with solar assist rather than a hardwired power run, in most placements. Actual runtime between service visits depends on refresh frequency, climate, and sun exposure at a given site.

What sizes and form factors will be available?+
The current prototype uses a 13.3″ panel as a scaled demo unit. Planned pilot SKUs include full-size A-Frame and T-Frame pillar units (single- and double-sided) and a shelf or tabletop unit, scaling up to larger E Ink Spectra™ 6 panel sizes. More in the platform & hardware overview.

What stage is EverInq at right now?+
Active prototype: the EverInq OS™ prototype stack is fully developed, with internal hardware, firmware, and web and mobile applications tested and demo-ready.
